STIWDIO UN can only be described as a gold nugget lodged into the side of a mountain! The remote setting is both stunning and inspiring and if that doesn’t appeal then the studio itself surely will.

Featuring the best of both software and analogue Worlds, you have the choice over your sound and an array of microphones, guitars, keyboards and other instruments to work with.

Owner and Engineer Sam Durrant works tirelessly to help you create the songs you always knew you had and takes the time to explain his set ups and how he came to discover them. With many other unique features built by Sam himself (including an outdoor swimming pool, bar and bunk house) the whole studio stands as testament to a work of love.

I can’t think of a better environment for a recording artist to be in. Highly recommended

STIWDIO UN provided us with the best studio recording experience we’ve ever had. We are always happy with the finished product and music. The recording studio has a great atmosphere, and we’ve always enjoyed ourselves, fun whilst benefiting from their professionalism. The combination of the available gear alongside Sam’s expertise with how to get the best sound, is brilliant. These are some of the reasons we have returned to STIWDIO UN time and time again.

And, there are chickens.

HAM MILAN

My band recently recorded a short album at STIWDIO UN. We stayed in the bunk house for three nights and had an all round awesome time over the weekend.

The standard of work was consistently very high and we were extremely happy with the finished product. Sam (the engineer and owner) executed everything with confidence, charisma and absolute professionalism. He is clearly highly educated and knowledgeable in his field of work.

We were warmly welcomed by Sam and felt that the vibes at the studio/bunk house/bar helped us get the most out of the time we spent there. 

As a residential studio with the engineer, equipment and facilities that this place has you would be foolish to turn it down at such a reasonable price. Highly, highly recommended!!!

Love the vibe!For a songwriting multi-instrumentalist, recording from home (pro tools 7, hardly any plug-ins) it’s hugely gratifying to be able to call in at Sam’s studio for help with production and mixing. Expertise, software and hardware at my disposal are a real treat. Great studio, surroundings, family and vibe!

Absolutely fantastic studio!!! We were really well looked after by Sam and his wonderful wife (she makes a mean chilli by the way). The facilities were excellent, everything we needed.

The accommodation was superb and we even got to use the hot tub (even if the outside temperature was -2). The surrounding countryside was idyllic for getting the creative juices flowing.

Would highly recommend for anyone and we shall certainly try to head back soon.

Show No Mercy

I recently visited STIWDIO UN to make my first EP. An awesome place. Sam and his family are lovely people.

The studio has everything you’ll need for any type of recording session, top quality equipment. He also helped me add to the ideas I already had and made my project sound amazing. I couldnt ask for more.

I will be going back here soon to create the rest of my album. Thanks Sam!!!
